One of the goals is to give back to the community from which much of our support
comes. We do various community projects by offering our labor and services.
One project is the Life Styles building during the week of the Fair .
We set up and take down the paintings in the exhibit as well as provide staff all week.
In 2005 we were asked by the Kindergarten and 1st Grade Teachers of Highland Rim School
to replace their murals that had been painted over during the summer. Fred Womack a
retired Graphic Designer volunteer to be the project leader for this project. Fred used the
project as additional exposure for in his Art Class students. This project started in
September when Fred collected information from the teachers, drew sample drawings and then
prepared the drawing to be projected on the walls for his students to draw. The actual
drawing/painting on the walls started October 6, 2005 and ended February 2, 2006 the Art League
provided over 200 person hours (both Students & Art League Members) to complete this project.
