All ages welcome!

Tuesday & Thursday evening classes (7 to 9 p.m.) — $50 — 4 hours total
Saturday classes (9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with half hour lunch break) — $65 — 6 hours (same class...more discussion time)

PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS

• Tuesday, September 16 (2 hours) & Thursday, September 18 (2 hours) [4 hours total]

"I have a camera and I want to take good photographs, what do I need to know?"
This is an introduction to photography, terminology, typical equipment, lighting, composition, and basic techniques for making better photographs.
All types of cameras will be covered (digital and 35mm, SLR and point-&-shoot).

PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS

• Tuesday, September 23 (2 hours) & Thursday, September 25 (2 hours) [4 hours total]
• Saturday, September 20 (6 hours)

"How do I get the images out of the camera and clean them up?"
This is an introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements and the basics of electronic image processing and manipulation.
How to resize your images for e-mail and printing.
Basic printing tutorial, including color management.

CREATING DIGITAL SLIDE SHOWS

• Tuesday, September 30 (2 hours) & Thursday, October 2 (2 hours) [4 hours total]
• Saturday, October 4 (6 hours)

"Okay...now I've got all these electronic images—what can I do with them?"
This is an introduction to creating digital slide shows using several software programs.
How to create a basic slide show in 30 seconds.
How to add special effects, transitions, music, video clips, and narration.

CLOSE-UP AND MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY

• Tuesday, October 7 (2 hours) & Thursday, October 9 (2 hours) [4 hours total]

"I want to get close...really close—how do I do it?"
This is an introduction to close-up and macro photography (photographing small things).
Discover a whole new world by getting up close and personal!
We will discuss terminology, typical equipment, lighting, composition, and basic techniques.
All types of cameras will be covered (digital and 35mm, SLR and point-&-shoot).
